Set within an exclusive gated community in Surrey, Westchester House required updating to better suit a busy family’s lifestyle and aesthetic preferences.
The house consisted of 7 generous but similar-sized bedrooms. The clients wanted a private space that felt effortlessly tailored yet indulgent, where they could unwind at the end of each busy day. Reconfiguring the floor plan, a grand principal bedroom was created featuring an en-suite, seating and his-and-hers dressing areas. An art-deco style wallpaper in a bold navy accented with calming greys and creams created a contemporary and sophisticated environment for the couple

The children’s bedrooms required styling to achieve a cohesively refined feel throughout the house. Incorporating whimsical elements whilst keeping furniture timeless will help the room to easily evolve as the children grow and their needs change.
With a large family, storage options were an essential requirement for the clients. Custom joinery was created for a bespoke cloakroom where all the children’s belongings could be easily accessible yet discreetly concealed. A warmer take on a black and white scheme and minimalist details give the room a subtle boldness.
The clients wanted a dining room that felt modern and sophisticated where they could host dinner parties whilst also being suitable for daily mealtimes with their children. A warm, monochromatic colour scheme gave the room a naturally sophisticated feel; whilst geometric panelling offered discreet visual interest. The space is completed with a modern chandelier that sets an inviting ambiance for the clients to enjoy with guests or their family.
